Annie Blackman "15 16 17"

I’ve been writing songs since 6th grade, but only not-terrible songs since sophomore year. Most of them are about boys, which for a while I thought was something to be embarrassed about, like there wasn't enough depth to the subject. But the truth is that I feel every feeling the most when I like someone, and tapping into that is totally necessary in writing music that I like. The album is mostly about wanting things (people) that I couldn’t have at the time, but through it all I’ve learned a lot about patience and finding satisfaction and fulfillment in little victories more than anything else.
